A Few Things to Enhance Your Stay We’re delighted to welcome you to our peaceful country retreat. To help you make the most of your time here, we’ve shared a few thoughtful notes about the property and its surroundings: Evenings & Atmosphere: To preserve the calm of the countryside, outdoor areas are best enjoyed until 10pm, when the natural quiet of the evening settles in. Our home is ideally suited to relaxed gatherings of up to 10 guests. If you have something special in mind, we’d love to hear from you before booking. Fireplaces & Seasonal Comfort: During the cooler months (May–September), you’re warmly invited to enjoy the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit — simply bring along your preferred firewood, kindling, and lighters. In the warmer season (November–April), total fire restrictions are in place to protect the landscape. Comfort in Every Season: The main living area and master bedroom are air-conditioned for your comfort. Additional bedrooms are designed with gentle airflow in mind, featuring fans, cross ventilation, double glazing, and high-quality insulation. The second dwelling offers air conditioning in its living space, which naturally cools the adjoining bedrooms. A Lived-In Home: This is a much-loved home that we share part-time, and you may notice personal touches and photographs throughout — we hope these details add to the warmth and character of your stay. Nature at Your Doorstep: Set in a beautiful rural setting, the property invites you to experience the charm of the countryside. Native birdlife provides a natural soundtrack, and neighbouring horses can often be seen grazing nearby (we kindly ask that they are admired from a distance). As part of this natural environment, you may occasionally encounter small wildlife or insects despite thorough cleaning — it’s all part of the authentic country experience.
